For muralim, music is something that speaks to the heart and the gut. It’s about freedom and those moments when you forget everything and can simply be in the present. Their melodies are catchy yet sophisticated, and the grooves invite you to tap your feet. The whole thing is carried by their joy of playing and their energy. The result is music that’s almost impossible to resist.

Driftwood Quartet

The Driftwood Quartet moves with playful ease between contemporary jazz and alternative rock. In their music, delicate passages build into powerful sounds, contrasted by edgy riffs. Catchy melodies blend with experimental structures. Throughout, the band remains curious, dynamic and full of surprises.

Ulysse Loup Large Ensemble

Trumpet

Flugelhorn

Trombone

E-Bass

At once stormy and serene, bassist and composer Ulysse Loup blends contemporary jazz with poetic depth. His ten-piece ensemble guides the listener through organic and mechanical soundscapes: two drum kits pulse, basses rumble, wind instruments call out, and a voice narrates. Music that feels like a journey between longing, vastness and an inner awakening.

Rufus D

Sampler

Electronics

Rhythm, loops and morphing patterns: this is the world of Rufus D. Their constantly driving sound unfolds somewhere between post-rock and experimental music. Slowly building structures give way to unexpected breaks, at times lyrically soaring, at others powerful and raw. Beats, loops and guitars merge into a mix that thickens, becomes overdriven and finally fades away into the room.

Ace Ross

Keyboards

Finale

Ace Ross is the alter ego of drummer and producer Arthur Routaboul, who is active in various up-and-coming jazz and contemporary music bands. Ace Ross boldly combines live jazz and modern production. Mundus

Hammond organ

The Trio Mundus creates a powerful yet melancholic sound, drawing on influences from groove, contemporary jazz and hip-hop. Victor Decamp's compositions act as a musical diary, capturing the feeling of being at home amidst moments of loneliness and intensity. This is music that never fails to surprise.

Samson Philipps

Rhodes

Samson Philipps is a duo consisting of drummer Samuel Schmassmann and keyboardist Philipp Bucholtz. While their music is rooted in nu jazz, they also incorporate elements of drum ‘n’ bass, trip hop, funk, psychedelia, and ambient, creating a driving, yet dreamy sound.

Ramzi Hammad & RH Collective

Tenorsaxophon

Bass Clarinet

Ramzi Hammad & RH Collective

Drummer and composer Ramzi Hammad combines the Middle Eastern rhythms of his heritage with modern jazz in his music. Hammad's life is reflected in his sound. Maurice Storrer Quartet

The Maurice Storrer Quartet celebrates contemporary jazz that draws on the tension between form and freedom. At the heart of their music is dialogue: open, courageous, and always flowing. Every moment is carefully thought out, and played anew—with a clear reference to jazz tradition, while also reaching beyond stylistic borders. Their music challenges listeners, never stands still, and thrives on the immediacy of sound.

Lea Gasser 5tet

Accordion

Maud Paquis Quintet

Arthur Donnot Group

Arthur Donnot is an up-and-coming musician from Lausanne whose calm breath on the saxophone unfolds a warm sound all its own, almost reminiscent of organic singing. His compositions are rich and somber, yet have a luminous note. His influences range from Mac Demarco to Serge Gainsbourg, from hip hop to indie folk. The concert took place as part of the ZKB Jazz Prize.

Tie Drei

Violin

The music of the young Swiss jazz pop trio TIE DREI is dedicated to the concept of "time" and the perception of it in a multi-layered way. Sonja Ott (trumpet), Hannah Adriana Müller (vocals and violin) and Johanna Pärli (double bass) explore the possibilities of their instruments in their joint writing process, allowing their sounds to grow into a nimble, multiform structure. The transparent instrumentation allows each musician a lot of freedom for improvisation and own expression: in the fragility of the trio lies its power. The concert took place as part of the ZKB Jazz Prize.

Knobil

Knobil is a vocal jazz quartet founded by Louise Knobil, a double bass player, singer and composer living in Lausanne. The concert took place as part of the ZKB Jazz Prize.
