From September 22 - 26, the ZKB Jazz Prize Festival at Moods featured the most highly endowed prize for young Swiss jazz musicians. The competition was won by the Lea Gasser 5tet. The Chloé Marsigny Sextet took second place. The audience award went to the Maud Paquis Quintet.

On Thursday evening, 26 September, the final of the ZKB Jazzpreis Festival 2024 took place at Moods. This year's winner was the Lea Gasser 5tet. The jury had the following to say about the winners: ‘The Lea Gasser 5tet proved that the composer has already found her very own and unique musical language, which her band knew how to support incredibly well, making them an unbeatable team.’
Second place went to the Chloé Marsigny Sextet. ‘Chloé has a very clear vision, both when it comes to the sky and the stars and when it comes to translating them into a musical language. Precise compositions and arrangements, as well as clever twists and turns, were inspiring,’ said the jury.
The ZKB Audience Award went to the Maud Paquis Quintet.
In addition to the three award-winning bands, Polarbaeren, Meraki Sextett and LELE GORRI were also nominated for the Young Talent Award. All concerts can be viewed on our streaming portal.
