You've never heard Mani Matter like this before! Suddenly Mani Matter sounds as if the Beach Boys were on a desert safari in Africa. Music that catapults you into infinity with pleasure!

With his trio HOT 3, Roman Nowka launched a program with songs by Mani Matter a good two years ago. With Endo Anaconda (Stiller Has) he found a brilliant performer who made the lyrics shine with his raw poetry and humor.

Now great Endo has passed away. Therefore, two performances at the beginning of 2022 became two quiet commemorations of Endo, but also a continuation: as a guest singer Stephan Eicher has accompanied the Hot 3. With this great line up the project has found a brilliant further development!

Songs like "Ds Lotti", "Chue am Waldrand" or "Sidi Abdel Assar" get with the trio also as instrumentals completely new facets. Roman Nowka's HOT 3 transport the songs of Mani Matter into other spheres. "Suddenly the Bernese troubadour sounds as if the Beach Boys were on an African safari," wrote one critic.

The sound on the electric baritone guitar is a trademark of Roman Nowka. With this dark timbre and his preference for melodious instrumentals between jazz and rock, the guitarist from Biel delights the audience. In the meantime, he has made a name for himself with the HOT 3 and their idiosyncratic cover versions of Monk and Ellington. Surf twang and rock feeling characterize his playing. Everything sounds simple, melodic and very relaxed. Nowka also performs solo or regularly accompanies the Grisons author Arno Camenisch on his reading tours.
