The concerts by “it’s me?” are a unique experience – musically, conceptually, and spatially. Starting with the space: The musicians are situated right in the middle of the audience, who sit at the twelve “Modular Music Machines” and can help shape the music live. There is no stage, nor is one needed: Everyone is together in the auditorium, making music together. The surround sound system further ensures an immersive audio experience: everyone is surrounded by music, with melodies and sounds moving through the space. The audience is thus at the heart of the action not only spatially but also acoustically.

Conceptually, “it’s me?” breaks the mold of conventional concerts. Through this interactive setting, the concert becomes an experience, a workshop, and a field of experimentation all at once. The musicians engage with the audience – not only musically, but also verbally before the concert begins and between pieces. They provide instructions and tips on how to operate and use the Modular Music Machines.
