The celebrated harpist and singer Asita Hamidi passed away far too early in December 2012. Until shortly before her death, rehearsals were still underway for a long-awaited project close to her heart with her quartet Asita Hamid's Bazaar, made up of outstanding musicians from Sweden and Iran. Parts of Garden of Silence, initiated by Asita Hamidi and Björn Meyer, were finally premiered in 2013.

Since then, Garden Of Silence has been supplemented and further developed by new influences. Ten years after the originally planned date, the world premieres of the complete work took place in Bern and Schaffhausen in December 2022. Further concerts will now follow to allow this special music to be heard in its unique instrumentation. An unforgettable listening experience.

A message from the band:
On 25 January 2024, our singer Bruno Amstad died unexpectedly. For more than 25 years he was an integral part of our musical universe with his voice, his brilliant creativity and his big heart. He leaves a huge gap, both as a musician and as a person, and as a central part of Garden of Silence.

Despite our deep sadness, we have decided to continue Garden of Silence out of gratitude for our time together and as a tribute. We want to bring music into the world as a source of hope, especially now.

Bruno is irreplaceable. So it was immediately clear to us that we had to find new facets of sound to realise the music. We are delighted that Karin Streule and Klaus Gesing will be joining us on this new journey! Both are outstanding artists who in their own way have a long association with Garden of Silence.

We cordially invite you to join us for this special evening. Let's celebrate music and life.
