Carte Blanche artists Marina Mello and Luca Koch have assembled bands for their worldbuzzpoems that improvise with a fresh, urgent, and powerful energy. Martina Berther lays down bass lines that shift, tremble, and suddenly vanish. Julian Sartorius approaches the drums not in terms of measures, but in terms of movements, friction, and leaps. Marina Mello weaves threads through the space with her harp – delicate yet unyielding at the same time. Luca Pilu Koch layers voices, sounds, and colors on top of one another until language becomes sound and sound becomes language.
There’s rustling, crackling, humming, and growing.
Individual elements become landscapes.
Impulses become songs.
Two days of controlled loss of control.
