Orchestra Baobab

Last year, Orchestra Baobab, one of Africa's greatest bands, celebrated its 50th anniversary. Its story begins in the heart of Dakar's medina in Senegal in the late 1960s and stretches around the world and into the 21st century. The group of singers and musicians from all over the continent play a mixture of Afro and Latin American styles, international pop and traditional griot music. After last year's sold-out concert, the band returns to Moods this August.
