Whether back then in the Gelateria on Idaplatz, in the Elisaburg restaurant, in the Kauz and for several years in its own Lokal Sender: every Thursday, the GDS audience was able to discover new live music on site and on the radio at the same time. So it's all the better that this journey is now continuing at Moods. No longer weekly, but with international guests in addition to the local ones:

Dele Sosimi is nothing less than one of the most important pioneers of Afrobeat. The musician, who was born in Hackney and grew up in Lagos, played keys in Fela Kuti's legendary band ‘Egypt 80’ and influenced many of the band's later hits as an arranger. In his 40-year career, he has collaborated with countless musicians from the fields of Latin, electronica, jazz and hip-hop, flying the unmistakable flag of Nigerian music far and wide and inspiring a whole generation of British musicians to embrace Afrobeat.

Dejot aka Daniel Jakob is responsible for the local support. The busy man from Bern has been producing dub-soaked electronica since the 90s and has collaborated with established greats such as Lee Scratch Perry, Yello, Nicolette, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Baze and many more. He is also one of the founders and co-heads of one of the most influential Swiss indie labels par excellence: Mouthwatering Records.

Before, in between and afterwards, Jubia3000 (she regularly hosts DJ nights at the Lucerne venue Kind) and Chrigi G. us Z. (he is co-founder and DJ at GDS.FM) will be playing together for the first time.
